WHO BELONGS AT CBI JOURNEYS SUMMER CAMP?
Summer camp at CBI is open to our current Forest School students aged 2-5 years old, and any children in the Charlottesville community Kindergarten through 8th grade.
CBI Journeys summer camp is for all kids who are looking for friendship, belonging, inclusivity, laughter, adventure, community connection, and FUN!
JOURNEYS SUMMER CAMP ACTIVITIES
Our summer camp day starts at 8:30 and we play hard until 3:30 (with a nap break for younger campers of course).
Each day of our sessions has new activities, and might include arts & crafts, music, swimming, kayaking, stream studies, journalism, nature exploration, drama, sports, or even a campers-vs-counselors Capture the Flag game!
JEWISH CULTURE
AT JOURNEYS SUMMER CAMP
Jewish culture and rituals are woven throughout Journeys summer camp, and all of our activities are designed within a Jewish framework. We believe Judaism and Nature Connection provide a unique and meaningful approach to our summer camp programming.

Year-Round Programming at CBI
CBI Journeys provides opportunities for participants outside of our current students at CBI Forest School to engage with the natural world through adventure experiences.
Masa is the Hebrew word for Journey or Trek.
Historically these experiences in the wilderness were more than just a recreational purpose. Our year-round programs create opportunities for alumni, families, and community partners to return to the forest and be immersed in its many wonders and educational facets.
Our primary programming is through Alumni Adventures, which are choreographed to connect students to their former teachers, school environment, and immersion in the wilderness.
This program is offered on most weekdays throughout the school year that public and county schools are closed for teacher work days.
Family and community programs can also be requested through the contact form below.
