Emily Snelling
Emily Snelling has worked at CBI for over 20 years and is excited to be out in the Forest once again. While taking children out in nature has always been a pleasure, these past three years exploring and learning in the forest with joyful preschoolers has further confirmed for her the value in immersing children in nature and the importance of developing a connection to it.
Emily’s inspiration to embark on a career in early childhood education was ignited over 25 years ago in Bali where she taught English, learned Indonesian and explored art with Balinese youth for several years. She has been passionate about supporting early childhood development and learning alongside young children ever since.
Her 23yr old daughter Jess is a graduate of CBI and a recent graduate this year of the University of Richmond! Emily will continue to hike, go for runs on Ragged Mountain trails, read, and cook at home — all things she loves to do when not at CBI!
