Haya is energized and delighted to begin her 20th (!) year teaching at CBI. Before she began at CBI, Haya worked in the Charlottesville City schools in grades K-4. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bar Ilan University.

Haya moved to Charlottesville from Israel in 1991 with her two daughters, Yarden and Stephanie. Haya is a proud “Safta” to Yarden’s daughter Talya, who is in the Goldfinch class at CBI Forest School, and her son Eitan. Yarden is also a former teacher at CBI’s Forest School and Stephanie is done with her medical residency in Boston.

Haya enjoys her work as a Bar & Bat Mitzvah tutor, Jewish Studies Specialist, and being part of many facets of the CBI community.
